Over the next 11 days, I will be posting what I consider to be the 11 attributes of Christmas. These attributes apply to all human beings regardless of race or religion so please don’t get carried away with semantics. I believe that if everyone on Earth made these attributes a priority then all religions would dissolve into the way.
Life is a relationship and for better or worse, we are all in it. Let’s make it awesome all year instead of day per week where we pretend that we’re good and one day a year where we share with one another.
LOVE
The first attribute is love. I may be over-simplifying this but just love one another. Love your enemies. Feed hungry people. Clothe naked or cold people (unless they want to be naked). Give of yourself with no forethought of your own well-being. Think of ways to make your family, community or world a better place and then TAKE ACTION!
Make simplicity a priority.
Love can be cultivated, harvested and planted as seeds. Consider yourself to be a love farmer. Ok, that last sentence was cheesy but you catch my drift. Today, as you move about your reality, do your best to simply acknowledge the child in others. Everyone you see was once 3 years old and super cute. See this and just smile inside knowing that they are present on Earth. Every person you witness today deserves honor and respect because we all share this common struggle together. Love them as you would be love and blow their minds with kindness.
I am taking my own suggestions to heart. The worst case scenario is that we will feel great for the next 11 days participating this way.
Enjoy one another. We are all part of one big dysfunctional family.

I like the path you are laying out here and describing it a one big dysFUNctional family is pretty accurate. I promise to do my best to try to see that 3 year old inside of whoever I meet today, and look forward to your future posts. I have to say I think i will miss hearing your thoughts on paper when you are done your 365 days, it’s bee a blast Chris, you are a wonderful human being and i am glad I know you!
