Imagine if the media networks weren’t controlled by ultra-rich agenda oriented families or groups. What would the world be like if the news was focused on reporting fact and not shaping a story in order to engineer us socially? Further, what could happen if positive, motivational, inspiring and encouraging reports became the focus of media as opposed to stale-mate politics or the latest catastrophe?
I do believe that if we are told something perpetually and repetitively we eventually start to adopt the imposed world view; for better or worse. So do the media giants and social engineers. Most of us know that positive reinforcement works better than negative criticism in children, so why don’t we see through what the central media is doing? I suppose that it is hard to accept the alternative when the alternative requires work and thinking for oneself. Just turn on the tele and shut the fuck up!
A new day is dawning though. I see pieces of it here and there. Through the cloud of mundane repetitive crap that media giants pump out, the sun is beginning to shine.
Future media belongs to the people…
To educate and inform one other in creative, inspiring and hopeful ways; To make each other laugh or cry with our stories; To motivate groups of people into initiatives that actually improve the over all situation here on Earth; And to just simply share our selves with our community.
I have written many times about how credit in a given country, government or world is authorized exclusively by the people and that those people are then tricked into paying back something that they lent in the first place. The same is true for media. We authorize the current media by working for it, buying it, repeating the negative and acting out the script that our brain has been carefully washed in. Yet, we are the power.
The next question is a very simple way to begin the process of extrication from mainstream media or anything that we hear…
Is that so?
Stop taking for granted that the global media empire has your best interests in mind.
The next decade should prove to be an interesting one. We have at our fingertips a level of personal media that hasn’t been witnessed in our entire history. It could be amazing. This could be an awakening like never before. It could also be that we have this technology because those who control the sub-currents of culture need us to feel frustrated and at the same time, empowered right now. The moment that the controllers have accomplished whatever was necessary and don’t need us to feel empowered anymore is the moment when restricted internet access or regulatory bodies step in.
Who knows? All we can do is gather information and make wise decisions. After all, we have always been the media so the future is up to us.
