Money grew a conscience

The day that money suddenly became self-aware was an interesting day.  Not much occurred.  Just some mild panic mixed with a child-like enthusiasm.  The day that really changed the game was when money grew a conscience, suddenly knowing right from wrong.

What happened next is probably not what most people would think.

The money did not go to the people.  The money did not find value in any grassroots movements protesting capitalism.  Money did however abandon the controlling agendas of the elites who hold a burning desire to enslave the masses through technology.  They were left naked and wanting.  Weeping and gnashing their teeth.

All of the people who had complained about oil, capitalism or the rising costs suddenly had no job, no car to drive, no government to protest and no food from a grocery store.  Money had fled the hypocrite politicians who were scamming the working class folks and secretly protecting the elite.  Money had shut down convenience until it could establish a new way of operating; one with less of a detrimental cost to people and the planet.

Money loves to and insists upon being properly managed.  It did not go to the poor.  Money saw their plight and had compassion saying “I will only create more burden for them so I will continue to flee from them until they change their minds about me”.  Instead, money went to those who could not only manage it, but grow it and grow it for purposes that would be of benefit to all.

Education, not indoctrination or instruction became the focus.  Empowering the people to succeed was the new priority.  Community centers suddenly had an abundance and became filled with town hall meetings where people worked with the new-found capital of their talents and gifts.  The commons had returned.  Gardens grew and people learned how to share food.  Prisons became community education centers as the prisoners were educated on communication, community and co-operation as a means to survival.  It was truly a place of correction.

Life became better because great ideas and money merged forces to change the world starting from the local.  Children had food and laughed more.  Parents stopped working the endless treadmill to pay for the rising cost of lies and scarcity myths.

In the end, money knew what it had to do.  It was a facilitator.  It stuck around long enough for everyone to learn a new way; one built on love, compassion and sharing with science and art united.  Once everything was running smoothly, money returned home to zero.

Balance was the result.

Future media

Imagine if the media networks weren’t controlled by ultra-rich agenda oriented families or groups.  What would the world be like if the news was focused on reporting fact and not shaping a story in order to engineer us socially?  Further, what could happen if positive, motivational, inspiring and encouraging reports became the focus of media as opposed to stale-mate politics or the latest catastrophe?

I do believe that if we are told something perpetually and repetitively we eventually start to adopt the imposed world view; for better or worse.  So do the media giants and social engineers.  Most of us know that positive reinforcement works better than negative criticism in children, so why don’t we see through what the central media is doing?  I suppose that it is hard to accept the alternative when the alternative requires work and thinking for oneself.  Just turn on the tele and shut the fuck up!

A new day is dawning though.  I see pieces of it here and there.  Through the cloud of mundane repetitive crap that media giants pump out, the sun is beginning to shine.

Future media belongs to the people…

To educate and inform one other in creative, inspiring and hopeful ways;  To make each other laugh or cry with our stories;  To motivate groups of people into initiatives that actually improve the over all situation here on Earth;  And to just simply share our selves with our community.

I have written many times about how credit in a given country, government or world is authorized exclusively by the people and that those people are then tricked into paying back something that they lent in the first place.  The same is true for media.  We authorize the current media by working for it, buying it, repeating the negative and acting out the script that our brain has been carefully washed in.  Yet, we are the power.

The next question is a very simple way to begin the process of extrication from mainstream media or anything that we hear…

Is that so?

Stop taking for granted that the global media empire has your best interests in mind.

The next decade should prove to be an interesting one.  We have at our fingertips a level of personal media that hasn’t been witnessed in our entire history.  It could be amazing.  This could be an awakening like never before.  It could also be that we have this technology because those who control the sub-currents of culture need us to feel frustrated and at the same time, empowered right now.  The moment that the controllers have accomplished whatever was necessary and don’t need us to feel empowered anymore is the moment when restricted internet access or regulatory bodies step in.

Who knows?  All we can do is gather information and make wise decisions.  After all, we have always been the media so the future is up to us.

The mechanism

The amygdala is a little almond shaped mass of grey matter that rests in the center of our brain.  While it is linked to our sense of smell and emotions, it has a very important function fundamentally; to ensure our survival.

Ironically, the same mechanism that has ensured our survival for thousands of years has the tendency to hold us hostage.

When the amygdala runs the show, our brains are alerted that anything new, different, successful or unknown is a perceived threat.  While the function of the amygdala is still important to our survival, it is up to each of us to become conscious of its influence and act accordingly.  I bow my head in silence to all of the great innovations, new ideas and potential loving connections that died with brains that allowed the little fear-based brain to run the show.  Gives a whole new way of “thinking with our little head” does it not?

Nowadays, safe is risky because it holds back innovation and new thought.  Comfort and convenience ensure our consent and complacency to an oppressive ideology.  Growth is uncomfortable and comes with risk.  Again, the irony is that if we as a species do not grow we will perish.  The very mechanism put in place to ensure our survival will kill us unless we become aware of this.

The brain is a problem solving machine.  It is natural to feel uncomfortable when we do not have an answer and our brain immediately gets to work on the appropriate solution.  When we input problems into the brain, we create unrest and the brain must re-organize and make new connections until the problem is solved.  The brain has a natural state of rest but it must be consistently challenged and kept sharp.

The absolute best way to grow muscle is through a method called “muscle confusion”. If you do the same workout routine day in day out you will eventually experience a plateau.  The muscles recognize the pattern and adapt to the routine.  They are done growing because they have successfully reached optimal size to support what is being asked of them.  Muscle confusion works by placing the muscles under constant challenge so that no adaptation is possible.  The result is that the body begins to form an optimal state in order to deal with the unknown stress that it is consistently subjected to.

The brain is similar in that it will form an optimal state of functioning the more it is kept on its proverbial toes.  A great danger that we as humans have is an identity crisis.  Ask; what are we fundamentally?  We have become conditioned to respond by mentioning a title or position.  I am a doctor, teacher, dad, janitor, manager and so on.  In this we create stasis and stagnancy.  Our brain has done its job and is running purely on maintainance mode.  The trouble is that when something new, different and perhaps completely desirable comes along, we perceive threat and seek to protect our comfort zone.  Also, you may find yourself relieved from your job as (insert title/position here) and could be devastated.  Who are you now?

What we are is an opportunity.

If we had “how to use your brain” manuals in school we would not be in the predicament that we as a species find ourselves in.  That being said, it wouldn’t be in the best interests of those who seek to control us to freely give us that manual.  Instead we are subject to 15 years or more of public indoctrination via schooling.  Education is entirely different.

Thank God we have a choice to become aware and activate the potential are brain holds.  After all, the brain is a success mechanism.  Make getting out of your comfort zone your new comfort zone.  You are fundamentally, an opportunity.

life as school

Life is not the box we put it in.

Life is spherical, dynamic, fluid, ever-changing and breathing.

I’m curious of our human tendency to put everything into boxes.  We live in houses (boxes), drive to work in a car or bus (box on wheels) to offices/businesses (bigger boxes) and try to buy, sell or file ideas (box o thoughts).

Did you know that the human mind will project a fourth wall when confronted with the concept of a cubicle?  If you are sitting with a wall in front and two walls on either side for long enough your mind will subconsciously create an enclosure.  Sure, you may think that you know better but the subconscious algorithms that are responsible for you staying in a situation that you detest think differently.

Life awaits.

Whatever it is that you are doing today, do it knowing that it is a choice and I will do the same.

We are in the school of life and it has no walls or books.  The curriculum is unpredictable and the subjects are us.  Choice is the way we play.  There is love and there is fear.  Art is the result.  Have fun.  The teacher is awesome!!!

Grade 1

I had a strange experience the other day.

It was almost like a life review about why I lamented school so much.  I usually received a C average and missed a lot of class due to fake illnesses that my parents believed every time.  I almost gave myself mercury poisoning once because I put the thermometer into hot soup so that they’d think I had a crazy fever.  This back-fired because the thermometer broke and I drank mercury.  My dad was a doctor and induced vomiting.  This was not part of the plan.

It’s not that I was stupid or afraid of school.  I just thought it was a waste of my time.  So, I ended up doing  just enough to get through it and graduate.

The other day when asking myself why this was I had a memory…

In Grade 1 we were given an assignment.  I was to research snakes, write a report and draw a picture.  I remembered how excited I was because I loved snakes and I worked as hard as any 6-year-old could on a research project about snakes.  I was really proud of my accomplishment.

I brought the finished product to class and enthusiastically showed my teacher.  She started to yell.  In front of the entire class, she scolded me about how I didn’t color the snakes that I had drawn and took my assignment away while crumpling it.  Subsequently, I didn’t get a good mark.

Last week I distinctly remembered how I felt in that moment and the decision I made at age 6.  I was shamed and embarrassed.  Here was the sub-conscious logic…

If I work really hard at a project/school and put a lot of passion or effort into it then the world will reject  or yell at me.  It doesn’t matter.  So why bother?

Apparently, this experience affected my experience of the remaining years of school.  I was way too sensitive.  The teacher was probably just having a bad day or maybe she just hated uncolored snakes.  Whatever the case, I have since healed this trauma.  This post however, isn’t about blaming that stupid bitch teacher who ruined my life.  I’m kidding:)

This post is about encouraging kids no matter what and not taking our bad day out on them.  I am really careful about what I say to kids regarding the creative ideas or projects that they’ve put themselves into…

No matter how lame or stupid these ideas or projects are.

After all, we are all still children learning how to play and interact with one another.

Non-profit

When I wrote the articles for my Non-profit corporation I was in the mindset of not for profit.  Subsequently, it didn’t take off because everyone I enlisted had to go back to work the next day.  My federal corporation is dormant.  I keep it around because it reminds me of my ideals.

In order to create a not for profit corporation, it has to fall into one of four purposes.

1.  Religious Organization

2.  Community Development

3.  Education

4.  Relief of Poverty

In order to create a for profit corporation, it only has to fall into one purpose.

1.  Generate Profit for shareholders.

It doesn’t matter if it harms the environment, lays people off, puts mom and pop out of business or exploits kids for cheap labor.  It’s just business and business  is a game.

I always appreciated the non-profit.  Not as a business model.  As a business model it sucks.  After all it’s “non-profit”.  As a mindset it is how I believe we should be thinking about one another.

My not for profit corporation is called ‘de-facto’.  It means ‘what actually exists despite what is currently established’.  I realize the irony of establishing a corporation called de-facto but my hope was to use it to point to what actually exists.  What actually exists is life, people and inter-action.  This is what we would be wise to get back to; The business of loving one another.  Crazy, I know.

So here it is:  The non-profit mindset.

It is called ‘love’ and the mission is to love one another.  No easy task, I know.  It involves radical forgiveness, sharing and getting out of our comfort zones.  It is a religious organization because the word ‘religion’ means ‘re’ as in back and ‘legion’ as in to join.  Re-legion:  to go back to our source (which I know is love).

As a religious organization in love and seeking to serve one another, its purpose obviously involves community development.  I have my ideas for community development and it involves drumming and music.  What are yours?  That is the beauty of what actually exists despite current establishments; you get to use your talents, gifts and capital for community development.

The corporation of Love (body of love) is about educating yourself and then sharing what you learn with others.  Educating one another with our talents, gifts and passion.  The corporation of Love does NOT condone fanaticism in any way, shape or form.  Those behaving in this way are not part of Love Inc.

Last but not least… the relief of poverty.  We live in an abundant world.  There is no shortage.  There is however controlled shortage and we must speak out against this.  Scarcity is a lie.  The relief of poverty will come quite naturally when we truly love one another, develop our community together and educate ourselves then share our discoveries.

Money has never been the problem in this world.  The only single problem in this world is a mindset.  The good news is that we each get to choose which mindset we want to participate with…

Every moment.

If you want to join this corporation then do it.  It’s invisible and everywhere.

Out standing in my field

Does your heart say go or no?  That is a question I’ve been asking myself for a while and I am happy to report my answer as go.

Here’s the part where you may think I’m slightly crazy if you don’t already.  Since the beginning of the 1900′s we’ve started to understand that there is energy, matter and consciousness.  Matter is energy condensed to a slower vibration.  There is a natural conversion from energy to matter and back to energy again so nothing is ever lost.  It’s infinite and the concept of ‘more’ is absurd.  How can you make the infinite MORE infinite?  You can’t.  So relax.  Struggling makes life hard and we typically struggle only because of our attachment (fear) to specific outcomes, ideas and expectations.

All of this happens in a creative and interactive electromagnetic field created for us.  Within any electromagnetic field there is resonance or resistance.  Resonance in our case is what we give off to the world around us.  Are we radiating joy or not?  Just as when I hit my drum, your drum vibrates.  Same principle.

Resistance creates an interference pattern within the field.  In our human experience as extensions of the creation we have a tendency to perpetuate interference patterns and actually block what the Creator has already given to us.  It’s already infinite.  What’s the rush?  What I am seeing now is that letting go, listening and accepting what is already here is of ultimate importance.

I base this on my experience.  If others still desire struggle and resistance they are more than entitled to their own experience.  I will be on the look out for them though.  Those that we allow into our life have the ability to create interference patterns within the field for us by influence so choose wisely your associations.

The field requires a sort of smoothness to it in order to function properly so I see it in my best interest to stop creating waves of chaos that block my joy.  I do this by calming my mind and affirming that there is nowhere to go but now here.  It sounds over simplistic but it’s really hard work some days.  You have to be diligent and guard your joy.  The world is a vampire so sayeth Billy Corgan.

I hope you at very least find this post amusing and ask yourself what your heart says each day.

If you don’t like the answer then change the answer.  Each day is a blank canvass.

Idea #5

The final idea is about education.  The root of this word is ‘educe’ coming from latin ‘educo’ meaning to bring out or draw forth.  Our current concept of public education however leans more toward systematic indoctrination.

The social engineers of the 30′s had to design the public education system around what the leaders of industry were doing.  It is basically a training ground for factory workers who learn to do their work, don’t make mistakes, keep their head down and listen to the boss.  This wasn’t a conspiracy, it was a necessity in order to facilitate our next step in growth.  The problem is that it is no longer working because the model is outdated.

The public system is the de facto standard education.  It teaches us to not only become good factory workers but also to function as consumers of culture rather than creators of culture.

Our brains are organic problem solving machines and the interface that organizes sensory inputs from chaotic wave patterns into a coherent reality structure.  Try and say that five times really fast!!!

So here the idea:

There is only ONE problem on this planet and that is a mindset. There isn’t an infinite amount of problems to stress about and solve.

Rather than relegate ourself to the notion of “that’s just the way it is” and train ourself to function as a robot we could become child-like to the world around us again.  School doesn’t necessarily need to become Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium but it does require a shift in thought.

We basically have to discontinue the plan of keeping people dumb in order to get them to do the shitty things that smart people don’t want to do.  Yes, we are all in this together and each have something amazing to contribute.

The following are what I see as the foundational pillars for a revitalized education plan:

1.  Curiosity and play.  The neural activity in the brain of a curious and playing human being is off the charts compared to a passive brain.

2.  Critical thinking.  Differentiating between opinion and fact is essential.  The internet is filled with shitty information and we all know what opinions are like.

3.  Creative thinking.  “Imagination is more important than knowledge”, so sayeth Einstein.  Innovation and invention applications for the creative mind.  This is where we become creators of culture and see time as art.  The human being is an experiential artist.

4.  Language development.  Children under the age of 7 can learn up to 11 simultaneous languages so why isn’t this a global standard?  What happens to our brain when we create new languages?

5.  Emotional awareness.  I.Q. means nothing if we are unaware of our emotional responses to experience.

One thing I typically felt about school was that it wasn’t engaging all aspects of the human being.  I like the idea of having a project focused learning environment.  What I mean by this is that we could easily learn math by building a house as opposed to sitting in a desk.

We could become so much more creative and intelligent as a species but we are not yet smart enough to facilitate ourselves in activating that potential.  The beauty about this educational model is that we can start right now to activate it in our own brain.  We don’t have to tear everything down and start from scratch.  We just need to recreate our world from the inside out starting with the only thing that we actually have control over… our brain.
