Horus

Steve Hammel showed me the picture below.  He asked me if I could see the connection.   To me, it seemed like a no-brainer.  Pardon the pun.  I mean, anyone with half a brain could see it right?  (Someone send this guy to the punitentiary already).

Seriously though, I’ve seen the Eye of Horus many times and it was explained to me as an ancient Egyptian symbol… blah, blah, blah, but it wasn’t until I saw this picture that I understood the obvious in the present moment.

To me it seemed obvious that the Eye of Horus represents the core of our brain structure which, is the reptilian brain.  David Icke, an english author talks about ‘The reptilians’ as actual shape-shifting beings who have assumed control over our society with the goal of enslaving us.  I think that thesis is a sure-fire way to have people back away from you in a party conversation like you accidentally farted.  Does it not seem more plausable that the reptilian brain, the most ancient, primal part of our brain is what calls the shots in our over-regulated, restricted and survival based society?

I’m definitely not in battle with a species of lizard people.  I’m in a battle within my own brain between control and creativity.  This is good news to me because it means I’m responsible for overcoming the fear and creating value for my people.  Although, a laser gun battle with reptile people does sound romantic.

The ancient Egyptian rituals surrounding the Eye of Horus typically had to do with an initiate overcoming fear.  That’s a very basic description however.

What stops us from finishing a project or attempting something new?  The reptilian brain.  The fear.  It’s job is to keep us safe and protected from harm.  Anything new or generous is threatening and suspect.  The duality stems from the reptile brain fighting against the neo-cortex.  The neo-cortex is the brain that dreams, contemplates the past/future and imagines new ideas.  The reptile brain is the resistance.

Wow.  Sounds like what’s going on in our society to me.  We have cameras everywhere to watch each other.  Arts are being removed from schools.  The automation of systems is overtaking the efforts of the people in the name of $$$.  More rules, regulations and restrictions are implemented everyday by fearful governments.  It is pretty clear to me, which brain is running our world.  That being said; if the neo-cortex was in charge, I believe that there would be no rules, everyone would be expressive artists and there would be way more woodstock-like parties.  While that sounds fantastic, we need balance right now.  That is the reason that we have both a reptile brain and a neo-cortex.  It is all about balance.

The point of the Egyptian initiations were for the individual initiate to overcome fear.  Think of our society as a big initiation.  Do you speak up at the meeting or keep your great idea to yourself?  Do you give freely of yourself to others or are you hoarding/trying to get more?  Do we sit back, stating “that’s just the way it is”… (the chant of slaves) or do we take a risk and try something new?  We are currently seeing the uprising in the middle-east with people who hold a new vision for their future.  Good for them.

All in all, I hope this is helpful in your quest to slay the reptile dragon beasts that have overtaken our governments, media, corporations and banking institutions.
