The Parasite

Generally, a parasite is defined as an organism that requires a host to ensure its survival.  There is a huge difference between a parasitic system and a symbiotic one.  I was thinking about this today in regards to life and human beings.  It is easy for us  humans to bash our own species when it comes to consumption and how we live on Earth but I’m not going to engage in that idea today.  We do have a tendency to over-consume and this is a self-destructive behavioral pattern but I see something deeper.

This is where I may lose some of you.  What I see is a parasite that has embedded itself so deeply into our minds, hearts and culture that we just assume that it is us and that this is just the way it is.  Calling it fear or the devil or human nature is a bit irresponsible so I will over-simplify it by calling it the parasite.

I once read that the goal of a demon is the death of its host as this would be the ultimate form of control.  When I look around these days I have to wonder what the hell is going on.  It seems like we are on a path of self-destruction as a species but I wonder if we have allowed this parasite to convince us that it is us, that it does not exist and that this is just how life is here… then you die.  What a great survival mechanism that is; convincing the world that you do not exist.  That is brilliant but once we see the parasite it’s game over.

We can overcome this.

I once argued with someone about bringing clean water to all of Africa.  Their argument was that it would cost too much money.  Really?  Making the planet worse is more affordable for those who print money out of nothing I suppose?  How fucking delusional is that line of thinking?

Fear is the biggest tool that the parasite uses to prevent us from real progress.  Fear itself is just an emotion but it can paralyze us.  The original purpose of fear was to alert us of danger or threat.  The parasite has us convinced that we can only live one way and that this is our culture.  Change is a threat.  New is a risk.  Success and love are enemies.  These are all lies that our culture tells us and that we perpetuate through lack of inquiry.

This is not an easy issue.  What we have in our global culture is a systemic dis-ease that begins in the mind and then manifests outwardly.  The good news is that each of us has a choice to acknowledge this and overcome it by listening to the truth of who we really are.

Riots…

I may be late to the party on this one but I had to offer another perspective to contrast popular media.  We have been shown a lot of terrible images on the news regarding the riots in London and while there are assholes in the world doing bad things, that is not what this is about.

What we are not hearing in the popular media is that these ‘protests’ are about the consolidation of the people to pressure governments to re-distribute the wealth of the world.  Families like the Rothschilds, Rockefellers and Warburgs have trillions in assets while average people starve and struggle.  I have maintained that it is super easy to grow assets when you print money out of thin air.  It is a lot harder to grow assets when working from the bottom up.

The proletariat always pay the bill.

All of these protests are representations of the Peoples unrest regarding how wealth and power is distributed in the world.  I do not for a second believe that re-distributing the wealth to the people will result in an uprising of global joy.  We would just see a five-year spike in consumer products and then things would be back to business as usual.  Maybe worse.  The masses haven’t been educated as to the enormity of the system.  The police and the protestors are part of the same system.  The families/cartels that created and facilitate the system automatically have the advantage.  The protestors and police are pawns fighting a losing game.

I cannot wait until local communities come together to love, feed one another and share gifts with each other.  I know, I know… hippy bullshit.

Revolution on a global scale is not going to make things better.  Especially, when the global elite you fight against controls the media and facilitates the very revolution you may think is the solution.

This is why I love the internet.  But that is just my opinion.
